Quarterdeck Community Guidelines

Purpose:
Quarterdeck is a professional CPD platform for Alternative Provision leaders and teachers. These Community Guidelines are designed to ensure that all members can engage safely, respectfully, and effectively in discussions, forums, and live sessions.

1. Professional Conduct

Always communicate respectfully and professionally.
Focus on constructive discussion, collaboration, and shared learning.
Avoid offensive, discriminatory, or derogatory language.
Be mindful of the diverse experiences and settings of other members.

2. Safeguarding and Confidentiality

Do not share identifiable student information.
Avoid discussing individual cases in ways that could reveal personal details.
Confidential school or organisational information should not be shared.
Use anonymised examples if referring to real situations.

3. Forum and Discussion Rules

Stay on topic and contribute meaningfully to discussions.
Avoid spamming, advertising, or self-promotion.
Respect differing opinions; debate ideas, not individuals.
Report inappropriate posts or behavior to Quarterdeck support.

4. Live CPD Sessions

Sessions may be recorded for members only; participation implies consent.
Be aware that your questions and contributions may be visible to other members.
Use professional language and maintain confidentiality when discussing examples.

5. Intellectual Property and Content Sharing

All resources, recordings, and templates are for member use only.
Do not redistribute, share, or upload Quarterdeck content externally.
Respect the intellectual property of other members and contributors.

6. Enforcement

Quarterdeck reserves the right to remove content, restrict access, or revoke membership for members who violate these guidelines.
Repeated or severe breaches may result in permanent removal from the platform.
